Traveling is seeing/hearing and experiencing the world anew. That can happen half way around the world or in the back yard. I bring my digital tools; camera and recorder combined with language and attempt to bring back the experience; new worlds.
It can be the way the light illuminates an object, the expression on a family member's face, the picture postcard of a moment that tells a story and captures an unforgettable experience. Sometimes it is a collage of photographs that bring the experiences to life again.
Travel transports us and the familiar is put together in a new way or the unfamiliar falls into place and speaks to you. It happens everyday, here are some that I have seen and heard, that have transported me.
