Memoirs, the stories we tell ourselves and others about our life. Why do these experiences cling to us? Sometimes the stories are refined over time, they change. How do the stories relate to one another and what do they say about us? What is remembered and what forgotten? Are the memories, stories or lessons ever complete and final or are they all an organic whole evolving over time?

I have written about my experiences over a lifetime here. I see them as interrelated and also grouped into three categories:

1.) life shaping personal experiences,

2.) my experiences learned relating to a found world, and

3.) travel lessons, new worlds discovered.

While our thought processes or stories seem to flatten out to linear tracks, according to the scientist this is simply our limited time perspective, attention span for experience.

There is no central station or control center in the brain, rather many competing centers, one then another gaining the stage but for a moment. As one draft is completed a new story begins.

The linkage and connections tell the story here and outline what I hope to be an evolving self portrait.
